A New York minute

Ok so I am literally months and months behind. I do plan on catching up, promise.

Immediately after the most romantic Valentine's Day in Oxford, I jetted off to New York with one of my favourites.

Louise was called to New York to meet with the UN, casual. She's been selected to be the European representative UN ambassador for change, specifically targeting the issues around gender equality. Seriously proud moment.

The first thing we did when we touched down was visit the ABC kitchen.  A really beautiful restaurant just off union square. I highly recommend.

Whenever i'm in any big city i like to walk everywhere and New York is one of my absolute favourite places to chase pavements. There's a new beautiful building around every corner and as it's built like a grid it's super easy to navigate above ground. The subway is way more confusing!

I spent most of my time working out of soho house or in meetings but L and i still found time to make a few discoveries before leaving. One of them was HU kitchen (Human Kitchen). Hu Kitchen is one of those places that does seriously delicious "healthy" food. Everything is dairy free, gluten free and refined sugar free, but still SO GOOD. Promise. So good I went twice. I can highly recommend the Jordy cakes and mash bar concoctions.

I have a few friends in New York that i like to check in with when i can so one evening i went to the boom boom rooms at the standard hotel for a few drinks and catch ups. It's quite pretentious i'm not going to lie but there's a Madeline cocktail on the menu and it boasts the best views in New York so whatyagonnado.

It was a really flying visit, just 3 nights so before we new it it was time to go. We checked out of our hotel and headed to my favourite part of town, the west village. My friend Joseph had taken me to Marys Fish Camp before and i'm obsessed so i wanted to take L. Unfortunately she's not really into lobster roll it turns out but if you are you won't regret dropping by this place.

Ok i'm ready to go back now.
